It's
a space - large or small that you set up
to honour and connect with spirit.
It can be as large as an entire room or
as small as a shoebox, the size does not
matter, just the intent of it .Whatever
is right for you is right.
A Sacred Space is all about honouring and
connecting with the essence of who you are.
It is all about sacredness. |
Most people think of an altar when they think
about a Sacred Space. Whilst an altar can be all
your Sacred Space is, your Sacred Space can be
much larger and used for more purposes than that
it's entirely your choosing.
Most people start off with setting up an Altar
as their sacred Space so here's some information
to help you do just that.
Creating an Altar
An altar is a physical space you dedicate to
spirit. It can be a table, a shoebox, a piece
of carpet or an old box, the size and what it
is made from is not important. What is important
are the items you place on your altar, each
item needs to carry meaning for you and feel
right for you.
Listed below are some of the items that are
on my altar to give you an idea of what types
of things you can use to create your own. Remember,
what is right for me, might not be right for
you, so trust yourself and only do what is right
for YOU
| Candles |
I always light candles on my altar before
doing any type of spiritual work. It helps
me connect with the space and serves as
a sign to spirit that I wish to connect
with them. It honours the element of fire
and enhances creativity. |
| Crystals

I have a number of different crystals
and rocks on my altar which help to bring
in the earth element and to ground the space

heart as I work. |
